Warehouse Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
Requires warehouse experience, including 1-3 years hands-on supervisory, HS diploma or equivalent, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, PC skills preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Provide direction and assign job tasks to employees according to loading and unloading schedules
Directs loading and unloading of conveyances to determine conformance to loading patterns
Verifies materials or products loaded and/or unloaded against all work orders
Tracks employee hour requirements for completion of job assigment
Adjusts work procedures to meet loading and unloading schedules
Recommends changes in working conditions and utilization of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations and suggests plans to motivate employees to acheive goals

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Perform similar and incidental duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: 1-3 years
Knowledge: Requires basic understanding of driving, ability to get along well with others and accept constructive criticism and be a team player

Language Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written communication with peers and management
Math Skills: Overall general arithmetic skills and knowledge of mathematical principles.
Other Skills: Time management skills to effectively schedule and meet company demands.
Other Abilities: Ability to handle multiple priorities.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Warehouse Manager

MAJOR BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS
Frequent contact with warehouse management, employees, and customers

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Normal work environment involving high physical risks including the risk of exposure to potentially dangerous situations, which require taking safety precautions. The noise level in the work environment is usually noise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and/or hear; uses fingers and handles or feels objects, tools or controls, reaches with hands or arms, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches and/or crawls. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move approximately 100 pounds or more.
